With nearly 20 years in education, as a classroom teacher, school leader, and now full-time dyslexia therapist, I’ve supported countless children and families through some of the most confusing moments of their learning journey.

Why I Started
Lead Changes
Like many in this field, I couldn’t ignore how often bright, curious kids were struggling to read. And I couldn’t accept “wait and see” as the answer.
So I pursued advanced training in the science of reading, became a Certified Academic Language Therapist, and created a practice designed to meet the real needs of families:
-
Expert dyslexia intervention
-
Holistic support for the entire family
-
Clear, actionable strategies grounded in evidence, not guesswork
Because when a child learns to read, they gain more than a skill—they gain confidence, agency, and a brighter future. This work isn’t just about intervention, it’s about equipping parents with the guidance and tools to lead the way forward.
What I Love Most
About This Work
Is seeing the light come back:
-
In a child’s eyes when reading finally clicks
-
In a parent’s voice when they feel confident advocating
-
In the calm that settles over a home after months—sometimes years—of stress and confusion
I’ve supported countless children and families through some of the most overwhelming and uncertain moments of their learning journey. It’s a privilege to help them find clarity, connection, and hope.

At the heart of it all I believe this:
Learning to read is a human right.
And no family should have to navigate dyslexia alone.
This work is about more than intervention—it's about equity, dignity,
and empowering families to rewrite the story.
If you’re ready to feel less overwhelmed and more equipped
whether you're here for your child, for yourself, or for your school,
you’re in the right place.

Fun Fact:
I’m also a certified therapeutic riding instructor partnering with horses to support confidence, communication, and healing.
When I’m not working with children and families, you’ll often find me in the barn with my horse, Mac. Mac is especially talented, but was completely burned out when he came to his forever home three years ago. He needed a break and he needed to know he had his person he could trust. He’s now a totally different horse—calm, happy, and loving his life and his job.
I am a certified therapeutic riding instructor, Certified with (PATH International), and a Grade Three Instructor (Hong Kong RDA).
I lead adaptive riding sessions (in the Houston, Texas area) that help children and adults with disabilities build trust, confidence, and connection through horse-human partnership. It's not just about riding—it's about transformation, much like the work I do in reading intervention.
